1、relation 泛指比较抽象的关系或关联时，是不可数名词，用单数。
2、如：He keeps good relation with his friends. 他和朋友之间保持良好的关系。
3、指具体的事物或人物之间的关系时，是可数名词，用复数。
4、如：This company has business relations with foreign companies.这个公司与外国公司有着业务关系。
5、类似的还有表示“水果/蔬菜”的名词。
6、如果泛指蔬菜或水果，就是不可数名词，用单数。
7、 如：Vegetable is healthy for body. Fruit is very delicious.如果指蔬菜/水果的种类，就是可数的名词，用复数。
8、如：Several vegetables are healthy. There are fruits in the market.。
